Danville Route 2 Project

WEEK OF 5/14/12

Utility Duct Bank Installation -

Smith Street and Route 2 – Access to Smith Street will be closed thru mid week as crews install duct banks.  Installation of duct banks will also take place on Route 2 near Melody Hill Farm.  Travel will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone.

Route 2 Roadwork:

Box Cut Work:  Box cut work consists of removing the existing road bed material and replacing it with new crushed gravel material.  Trucks will be entering and exiting the construction zones throughout the day.  Travel will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone as it moves along Route 2.

Crews will start the box cut in front of Passumpsic Bank and work their way west throughout the week.
