I received the following message from Andrea Bodo today, and she sent some of the photos she took when she and her husband Steve, went with our neighbor, Elizabeth Wiedmer, to Burlington recently to see the hospital plane specially outfitted by Mobile Medical International Corporation, of St. Johnsbury. Founder and CEO of the Mobile Medical is Rick Cochran, of Walden; another neighbor, David Covell, on Brickett's Crossing Road travels world wide for Mobile Medical. Here's Andrea's message:Here is a slide show of the interior of the airplane. Thanks to Andrea Bodo for the photos. Aboard the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital Plane
I grew up on Joe's Pond, went to Mary Fletcher Hospital Sch of Nursing, worked at Yale, MGH, MIT. Married Steve Burns, professor of Biomedical Engineering at MIT. He was the first technical director of ORBIS for years. The plane has been in Burlington and Steve and I went to see it. Rick Cochran's uncles and I went to school together. We thought it was fun that we were from Walden.
This is an article about his company and ORBIS....
