We saw these two signs as we went into the store. It's always interesting to stop for a minute and read the posters and notices outside the store. You never know what you may find.
Weather today has been pretty near perfect. We had a busy morning - I made cookies, and we tried to catch up on e-mails and household stuff before we met Fred's cousins, Alan and Sally Brown for lunch. They stopped at the parking area in W. Danville with their motor home on their way from Maine to Georgia, Vermont, and we had lunch with them. It was great fun, and we had a chance to catch up on family stuff. (That's them above.)
We stopped at camp on our way home. Bob and Jamie were hard at work putting the primer coat of paint on the boathouse trim. Everything looks really nice, and Larry Rossi's crew has only a few things to finish up and then it's ready for the Dimick boys to put on the roofing and siding.
There was a lot of activity on the pond - people were out in their boats and there seemed to be lots of families enjoying our nice weather. This duck family swam by the dock as we were visiting with Marie and Theresa.
We haven't heard from Bill and family, but we assume they are home by now. I'm sure he and Monika are thrilled to bring their baby daughter home.
We want to be sure everyone knows tomorrow is Bill Rossi's birthday. He was nice enough to give our son Bob a call yesterday to wish him Happy Birthday, so I want to thank him and wish him a very Happy Birthday, too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BILL ROSSI!!

Work Update
Danville Route 2 Project
Project: Danville FEGC 028-3(32)
Week of July 11th, 2011
Pike Industries will be performing the following work on the Danville Route 2 project as follows:
Waterline and storm drain work will continue between Marty’s Store and Smith Street in the westbound lane of Route 2. The work will remain centered in this area for most of the week and will require lane closures.
Blasting: Crews will start blasting on Park Street Monday and continue through the week. The blasting zone will begin across from the Post Office and continue towards Smith Street. If time allows, crews will then mobilize the blasting operation to Route 2. More details will follow mid week.
With regards to blasting, traffic will be held for 5 minutes before the actual blast and then continue to be held post blast until the roadway is cleared of debris and rebuilt for safe passage. Each blast will bring different results so the wait time after blasting is unknown at this time. Crews will work to keep post blast hold times as short as possible.
Traffic delays can be expected in and around the project for the entire week. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow at all times. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Contact Francine Perkins, Public Relations Officer, FRP Enterprises, LLC with any questions or concerns with regard to this project at 802-479-6994 or for a more up to date schedule visit www.roadworkupdates.com .
