The washout on Sandy Beach Road has been fixed. According to one of the residents on that road it took something like 14 loads of fill. The culvert that is in place there now looks a bit larger than the old one, but I suspect it still isn't large enough to accommodate the kind of water runoff that will come down that ravine in a big storm - unless they intend to divert some of the water above, on W. Shore Road. There will be stone to stabilize the sides of the ditch and a catch basin, by the looks. We can only hope it doesn't was out again first big storm we have. It will help if the earth and stones can settle a bit and some vegetation get started before the next heavy rain.

The picture second from the top is the upper side of the culvert. Fred said he really couldn't get a good view of the culvert from the pond side.

The last picture is the basin (on the upper side) that will be lined with stone and will also serve to catch some of the sediment that washes down in a large storm. As I understand this design - the basin may need to be cleaned out from time to time, but if it works, it will mean a lot less gravel and dirt will be washed into the pond.

Please be on the lookout for Laura Mills' wooden dock - it's about 15' long and 3' across, with the board going across, not lengthwise. We think it would be in one of the two smaller ponds, perhaps partially submerged. Let me know if you find it, then I will contact Laura. She may be here this weekend and is anxious to have her dock.

Also, be on the lookout for Brad Rouleau's dock bumper - he didn't describe it except that it's a wooden dock bumper. Contact him at brad@crosswaysaab.com.

As more people arrive for the nice weekend ahead (!!) we may be able to get more things located and returned to wherever they belong.
