We have sunshine today, but it's only about 40 degrees - hasn't really warmed up much. The good news is that these past nights and days with near or below freezing temperatures has slowed the runoff enough so the channel leading into the pond is somewhat within its banks again. Although the snow on the Rte 15 side of the pond has all but disappeared, we still have a fair amount here on the West shore side.

I took these pictures this morning, the top one of the channel, and the bottom one shows our lawn which faces northeast and still has a fair amount of snow on it. However, the water that has been sheeting down off the hill in back of our house seems to have been slowed by the cold nights. Not that our lawn area is anywhere near drying out - everything is still very soggy, but we're getting there.
