Well, no real big surprise this morning that we've had rain, freezing rain, snow and lots of wind - so far. I stepped out onto our front deck and found it was completely iced over with those fancy little white snow beads all over it. Pretty much like a skating rink. I had planned to go with a friend to visit Doris Demick down on Sandy Beach Road, but we decided to reschedule. My friend, Velma, lives on a hill and said her road was glare ice, and we weren't sure how Rt. 2 would be for her to get here - then I looked at our road and it was white - not with snow, but with ice crystals. So we've rescheduled. It's a fine day to stay inside by the fire. The picture above is the road in front of our house. I haven't been out to test the driveway, but I'm sure it is icy. The forecast is for this storm to be out of here by sometime tomorrow morning, but in the meantime, we'll have messy weather to put up with. I have a letter going out to a gentleman in Florida who is looking for information on the Perry family in the 1800's - so one of us will have to go down to the mailbox sometime this morning . . .
