Today promises to be beautiful, with lots of sunshine and reasonable temperatures. I took these pictures as the sun was coming up above the fog bank over the pond. The top one is from our window, looking across the pond towards Rt. 15. That picture and the second one together make almost a panoramic scene except they don't quite line up without cropping. The one below is of our back yard this morning where our second foliage season of golden tamaracks is beginning. The small birches in the foreground are hanging onto their foliage, too. The back yard is fairly well protected from the wind.

In case you didn't see Jack LaGue's message here and my correction, demolition of his cottage will happen on Tuesday, Oct. 19th. I had previously said it would be on Monday. Jack said he didn't want spectators, if any, to show up on the wrong day.

We've had no word on whether the cell tower at the Sousa Farm on the Plain is operating, so if anyone has tried using their AT&T cell service here lately and it worked (!) let us know. Service should be available soon, if not already.
