Sorry to report our little chick died about 12 noon after reaching the
Maine rehab facility. We had the feeling that it was really too weak to
make it, but we had to try. We are especially grateful to Kappy Sprenger
for dropping everything and coming to meet Ray for the transport... if
that little guy had any chance at all she was the one to make it happen!
We always figure nature knows best, even if we try to give it a hand from
time to time.
Thank you for your postings and for posting about the loon show as well...
Enjoy this gorgeous day!
Blessings, Evelyn
