Fred had to go to W. Danville late this afternoon and things still looked a lot like winter here. The temperature has stayed the same all day and even tonight. We've gained a bit more snow - one of the weather guys said on the news tonight this is more snow than we had during the whole month of March. He wasn't quite right for our area, at least - I checked and I'd reported 4.2 in. of new snow during March. I don't know why anyone thought we were really going to get an early spring and skip all the nasty stuff like mud and late snowstorms. We should have known better, but I think lots of people thought this had been such an unusual year nothing would be normal. We got our mud season, although it wasn't all that bad - and now we're having to put up with more snow.

John and Liz Randall are supposed to be coming for an extended weekend either tonight or tomorrow. I looked for their lights, but didn't see them - could be there was too much snow on the trees. They'll love it, though, and John will be out plowing snow with his tractor. They will be introducing their new puppy, Riley, to Joe's Pond, no doubt. John was probably hoping to get a head start on his garden - well, so much for that!

Hi Jane & Fred,

We arrived Friday afternoon and saw the snow on the ground. John said what happened to the 80 degree temps and spring weather you promised us. When the pond freezes over again will our ice- out tickets from May be good for the second ice out?
We don't think Rily has seen much snow coming from the Carolinas. He's amazed!
Matt is also visiting from Burlington and says much different over there.

Another Adventure

This week turned out to be a doozie for me. I had anticipated going for a follow-up on my knee on Monday, but instead ended up in the ER at ...
