This picture is the road as we came onto Rt. 2 this morning. Not the best, but not the worst, either. We were bound for St. Johnsbury to shop and get haircuts, and left about 9 a.m. We could see the snow blowing off the ice, and while W. Danville looks pretty nice in the photo, it was really darned cold. Not many folks moving about, either.
We had bright sunshine all day, but the temperature didn't get as high as expected and there was a brisk wind - in fact, it was an evil, bone-chilling blast that even made parts of St. J
There still seem to be plenty of snowmobilers around, although we've heard there isn't enough snow on some trails - it wears out quickly, perhaps because what we've been getting is so light and fluffy.

There seemed to be quite a bit of activity among ice fishermen today. They are a hardy bunch. Speaking of hardy folk, Bill and Diane Rossi went skiing at Burke today.
