First thing I want to thank "Alexander" for leaving a comment (see yesterday's blog). It's always nice to hear from someone who doesn't know me or the area but seems interested in life here in the north country. I often think of the comment by a New York City gal who likened us to Garrison Keeler's "Lake Wobegon" after one of our Joe's Ponders referred her to my blog. I wasn't sure how to take that, but I decided it was a compliment . . . !

I heard from a lady this weekend who did a Google search for a family name as she was working on a genealogy and the name came up on my blog. She was delighted when I was able to send her references to family lines that she had been missing.

We're getting a little rain tonight and it may turn to snow by morning. It's been cloudy and chilly all day, pretty typical for November. I've taken the inside measuring tube out of my rain gauge again, in case we get snow.
Now I have to go and see what I can come up with for our supper.
