Just when you think it's going to be a slow news day, something wonderful appears in your e-mail!
Jenny (Larrabee) Rafuse sent me a picture of her graduation. On Mother's Day she graduated at Norwich and is now a graduate nurse. This is a wonderful accomplishment. Jenny juggled marriage, a new baby and her studies to achieve her goal.
While she was busy becoming a nurse, apparently baby Alyssa was busy learning to make doughnuts with her Grandpa Garey. Many of us have watched as not only Alyssa's mom and uncle Curt grew up in the store, but we watched her Grandmother Jane, as well. Alyssa's great grandparents, Ralph and Mabel Hastings would be very happy that the tradition is being carried forward.
We're happy to congratulate Jenny. I'm sure she's a wonderful nurse - it takes a special sort of person, and I think Jenny has all the qualifications to excel at her profession. Way to go, Jenny!!
On an entirely different subject - I'm sure most of you know about the changes taking place on June 1st for travel across the Canadian border. Here is a web site that gives you the information you'll need to be certain you are going to have a trouble-free crossing: www.dmv.state.vt.us/LICENSES/EDL
