Hi Jane,
I was reading the BLOG and saw the item on the renovation of the Danville Hardware Store. Jeff and Nancy Frampton of Danville bought the building and we will soon have a bakery in Danville. Apparently Nancy is an excellent baker and I know I'm looking forward to the new business!
I also talked to Kay and Ed Walsh Sunday evening and they are back in New York, safe and sound but wish they were still here. They left just before Thanksgiving and took a leisurely ride home, stopping for Thanksgiving dinner and an overnight at the Putney Inn.
One of these days I will learn to log on and BLOG - but in the meantime if you want to pass this news on, you may.
Merry Christmas and bundle up!
Dee Palmer
There you have it! Dee and Bruce Palmer are summer neighbors of Ed and Kay Walsh on Clubhouse Circle. The Walsh's home is in Brooklyn, NY. It's very nice Dee keeps in touch with them - I know they love it in Vermont in the summer, and Kay has told me in the past she would be happy here year around.
We are sending off lots of Ice-Out tickets to JPA members and friends who want to include them in their greeting cards or as stocking stuffers. I sent off a batch this afternoon and will be sending another on Thursday. While we were at the post office, we scooted in to Deb Stressing's Joe's Pond Craft Shop - it's so pretty with all the decorations and lovely gifts. We took pictures there and in Hastings Store - and between the two, I bet anyone could find nice gifts for just about anyone on their list. Here's a slide show of both stores, and a couple of shots showing that winter is indeed here.
