A reminder that the Cabot Historical Society's only fund raising event, the Annual Apple Pie Festival, coming up on Saturday, October 18th, has a silent auction. We are looking for items such as collectibles, small antique items, any hand work such as quilted or knitted items, gift baskets related to a theme or hobby (gardening, food specialties, small home repair tools, etc.) Pick-up can be arranged - call Marvie Domey, 426-3281 or Vene Harding at 563-2567.
You should plan to attend the day-long event (from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) held in the school gymnasium. There are two contests, one for adults and one for juniors. There will be lots of apple pies to eat or buy to take home, entertainment throughout the day, and lots of good food. So plan to come early for the pie judging, visit the many craft tables, join the raffles and games. Lots to do and lots of fun for all ages. You can enter a pie in the contest! Call Martha Foster for contest information - 563-2526.
