Our weather has definitely changed. I had a dental appointment in St. Johnsbury this morning, so we headed out in the rain - and came back in more rain. Some folks were saying the usual, we need the rain, and probably that's true. We took a few pictures along the way - West Danville was bustling but pretty soggy. There is still some nice color showing in spots, and on a day like today it really stands out in the fog. Most of the color around our house is the yellows of poplars, birches and tamaracks, but along West Shore Road there are still some brighter hues. The picture on the top left is the bridge in West Danville this morning at about ten o'clock. On the right, John and Linda Garey's home on Otis Drive. Coming back things were no brighter, but there was a little color as we approached West Danville from the east, (right) and much nicer color when we got back on W. Shore Road (far right).

Area Seniors’ Program Schedule
Calling all seniors to Faith in Action’s Senior’s Enrichment Programs now available in three area communities on a monthly basis. The October 2008 schedule includes:

Senior’s Adventure Morning: Cabot, Wednesday, October 22nd from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Cabot United Church Fellowship Hall

Senior’s Adventure Morning: Woodbury/Calais, Thursday, October 16th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the South Woodbury Church

Senior’s Adventure Afternoon: Walden, Wednesday, October 15th from 1:30PM to 3:00 PM at the Noyesville Church Fellowship Hall

All programs feature group activities, games, prizes, drama, live music, and much laughter with morning programs serving a hearty hot lunch and afternoon programs offering abundant healthy snacks. For more information please phone Faith in Action Northern Communities Partnership at 563-2278, or just attend the free program nearest you.
