I agree 100%! Along with the Lakeshore Enhancement Project we are trying to keep our shoreline natural and attractive to wildlife, rather than the artificial lakefronts so prevalent these days. The worst erosion is not from winter ice but from thoughtless - or to give them the benefit of the doubt, uninformed - boaters speeding way too close to shore. Tom Dente did mention this at the last meeting, but I am afraid he may be preaching to the choir, as the speeding remains unabated. The worst offenders are the water-skiers and the jet-skis. I would hope that on the infrequent times the State Police patrol the Pond they would enforce the 200 foot rule. I look forward to a discussion on this topic when Bob brings it up at the meeting.
