Starting tomorrow [MONDAY, JUNE 9], VTHozerz, the contractor we have
hired to harvest the milfoil will begin operations and continue for the
remainder of the week. This will primarily be using a SNUBA system which
involves underwater diving. You may already be aware that most of the
activity will take place along Sandy Beach Road and around the island.
It is imperative that while they are working, all watercraft must STAY AT LEAST 200 FEET AWAY.
There will be some volunteer kayakers in the area looking for any loose
fragments, but otherwise please adhere to these guidelines. I cannot
emphasize enough how important this is both for safety reasons and to
minimize potential spread of the milfoil.
