Your 2020 Joe's Pond Association newsletter is in the mail and available now on line. You will find a reminder in the newsletter to pay your dues, and you can also pay your dues on line. Paying on line is an especially good choice this year so you don't have to go to the post office.
The newsletter is beautiful - thanks to Joanne Stewart for that!
Get ready for more April-like weather - a little snow perhaps tonight and more this weekend. That Mother Nature's way of saying "Happy Mothers' Day"! A little snow won't hurt much unless you have already planted your garden, and that's unlikely for most who live in the Cabot/West Danville/Walden area. We know better. Wait until Memorial Day, and even then be prepared to cover it up until about the middle of June!
Lots of people who never had gardens are planting them this year. Probably a good thing to do if you have the energy. Many of us surely have the time. Just remember that it will take a lot more time when harvest time comes in the fall for some of your garden produce. That's when you have to decide whether to can or freeze or give it away, I guess. A good problem to have.
Take care, be patient with your family, friends, and your neighbors - we're all under a lot of stress these days. Be considerate of others, even if you are feeling well; it will ease others' minds if you wear your face mask and practice social distancing when you are outside of your home. It's an easy thing to do and will let others know you care about them.
