We don't have much information for you on the dog that showed up at our neighbor's Saturday night. We had hopes it might be "Zander," a dog that has been gone from its home for some time, last seen in the All-Right spring area near St. Johnsbury, but we got in touch with Derek Garand, the owner's cousin who posted it on Front Porch Forum, and it wasn't Zander - seen in this photo. Zander is still out there, hopefully ok, but it's been a long time that he has been gone. However, if you recognize him, Derek's email is scoobydag@yahoo.com  I believe there is a reward offered for his safe return.

So, now that we have looked at back posts on Front Porch Forum and found no matches to the stray older Golden retriever type with a bright red collar that visited our neighbor on Saturday night, we have hopes the dog has found its way home. We would love to know for sure, so I am going to post on Front Porch Forum and hopefully someone will let us know so we can stop worrying. I hate to think of domestic animals lost, especially this time of year. The weather is not awfully cold right now, but it's going to get cold again.

This has been a beautiful spring-like day. With the sun shining the temperature has been nicely above freezing and in addition, our days are getting longer! At least we're on the other side of that phase of winter, and now we can look forward to a little extra daylight every day. It will be spring before we know it!
