I wrote this Friday night, so the weather "forecast" will change for tonight.  You'll see my P.S. written today at the end.

We're waiting for some not-so-great weather tonight.  The forecast is for rain and possible ice pellets - which could mean messy driving conditions.  We still have a trace of snow on the hills around the pond, and the temperature started off in the teens and got up to 35 during the day.  Now my thermometer is reading 32 degrees.  No rain yet.  Perhaps it will hold off until after most folks are home from work.

I've been going through some of the pictures in my "Years" file.  It goes back to 2005 - before that I may not have had a digital camera, I can't recall.  But I've kept a file of most of the pictures we've taken over the years, all filed by day, month and year.  I'm reorganizing and deleting some as I go, but am trying to make it easier to find pictures of certain places, people or events.  It's a  tedious job, but interesting, too, in many respects.  I've forgotten what some are, so those I cannot identify are getting tossed out.  Here's a picture of the LaPrade's home taken on Christmas morning, 2006.  We had very little snow, as you can see, but the following year, I took this picture of our neighbors leaving after dinner at our house on Christmas Day .  We apparently had an abundance of snow that year.

I expect we'll have plenty this year eventually, maybe even by Christmas, this year.

I have a lot of pictures of the Danville Dig over the past couple of years.  It's looking much better this December than it did last year.

P.S. I was interrupted last night when we suddenly changed plans and went to "Guys and Dolls" in St. J.  We had thought the driving might be bad, but when the storm didn't develop, we decided at the last minute to go.  We had a bite at McDonalds and made the play just in time.  It was great fun, the kids all did a wonderful job.  Granddaughter Jo-Ann was in a dance group and they also sang - the whole production was very well done - exceptional for such young kids, 7th and 8th graders.  We're so glad we went.  We're getting a little misty rain today, but so far nothing scary.
