We took Woody to his vet for his annual checkup and shots this afternoon.  He behaved very well, only an occasional mee-ow while in the car, and he obviously enjoyed all the attention at the vet's.  We left in plenty of time to compensate for the delay in Danville, but there were long lines of traffic in both directions.  We didn't mind - the sky had heavy clouds but there is still some color in most areas, so it was rather pleasant all the way.

Fred got some pictures as we proceeded through Danville into St. J., and I made a short slide show.

I've collected more items for the silent auction, but there's still time if anyone has something to donate.  Just let me know and I'll pick it up or you can drop it off at our house.  I'll be helping to set up on Friday afternoon/evening at the gym, and some people will bring things then - we'll be there by around 3:30 to perhaps 6 or so.  Also, we will accept items on Saturday morning if you're planning on coming to the event.  When I saw Garey today, he said he will be making a pie or two to enter in the contest.  It would be great if he could win a blue ribbon.  There was only one of his maple cupcakes left when I was there, so we each had a half at dinner tonight.  Really good.

Catching Up
