We learned Tuesday of the death of Marjorie Keach, mother of Bill Keach. Bill and wife, Bo, have a cottage on Narrows Drive. Bill's father, Ken, died last September. Here is the notice as it appeared in yesterday's Caledonian Record: Marjorie Keach

Our morning temperature has moderated to 20 degrees - and it's snowing! Not a heavy snow storm, but fairly steady and we hope it may amount to something good. With only 4 or 5 inches on the ground in most spots around here (more in the mountains), we haven't seen many snowmobiles out yet, and although the ski areas had no trouble making and keeping snow these last few days, it's been so cold not a lot of folks were brave enough to be out there, especially with miserable winds. But things seem to be looking better for the next few days. Once winter gets started, we may have a doozie.
