Work Update

Danville Route 2 Project

Project: Danville FEGC 028-3(32)

WEEK OF 11/14/11

DAY WORK:

WATER LINE SERVICES- work on water services will continue in various areas throughout the week.

STORM DRAIN – Crews will work on storm drain on Route 2 from Marty’s to Highland Ave.

PAVING – Although crews paved last week, there is another layer of pavement that needs to be installed. Paving will continue throughout the week along Route 2 from Marty’s to the Danville School, as well as entrances to various side roads within the project limits. Paving operations require a longer construction package and therefore, will occupy more of the roadway.

Traffic delays may exceed 10 minutes while paving crews are working on Route 2. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.

Paving is weather dependent. Inclement weather may require paving to be postponed and rescheduled.

Clean-up – Miscellaneous clean-up work will take place throughout the project.

Motorists can expect traffic delays from the alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.
