Saturday, November 19, 2011: Crews will work for about four (4) hours painting lines on the recently paved roadway. This work is planned for mid-day. Painting of crosswalks, etc will take place next week.

Work Update

Danville Route 2 Project

Project: Danville FEGC 028-3(32)

WEEK OF 11/21/11

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, crews will stop working for the week on Wednesday, November 23rd at 12:00 pm and will not return to the project until Monday, November 28th.

DAY WORK: Monday through Wednesday

Shoulders – Crews will be cleaning up the shoulders along Route 2 from Marty’s to the Village Green.

Line Striping – Crews will continue to work on painting pavement markings throughout the project. Please note – with the cooler weather upon us, the paint may take longer to dry so the construction packages will remain in place until vehicles can travel over the newly painted areas.

Traffic delays may exceed 10 minutes while crews are painting on Route 2. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.

Line Striping is weather dependent. Inclement weather may require painting to be postponed and rescheduled.

Clean-up – Miscellaneous clean-up work will take place throughout the project.

Motorists can expect traffic delays from the alternating one-way traffic around the construction zone. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.
