Danville Route 2 Project

Project: Danville FEGC 028-3(32)

WEEK OF AUGUST 8^th, 2011

Route 2- Crews will continue installing water line and storm drainage along Route 2 between Marty’s and the center of Town.

Smith Street: Crews will continue installing water line.

Work Hours: Starting Monday, daytime work hours will be extended to 6am to 6pm, Monday through Thursday and 6am to 4pm on Fridays in an effort to gain progress on the project. The change in work hours will be on a trial basis contingent upon traffic delays remaining at 10 minutes or less.

In anticipation of the increased traffic volume for the Danville Fair, crews will stop work on Friday, August 12^th at 12:00pm.

The Agency of Transportation will be removing contaminated soils on Route 2 near the Danville Inn. Two-way travel will be maintained through this work zone.

Motorists will encounter traffic delays with regard to the work on Route 2 and Smith Street. Traffic control will be present to maintain traffic flow in these areas. Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly for delays.
