TANGENI SIERRA HAS ARRIVED! Our new granddaughter finally arrived this morning at 3:30. Things didn't move along as expected, so she was delivered by C-section and weighed in at 10 lb. 7 oz. Monika and Bill are understandably both exhausted - it's been quite a weekend for all of us. Numerous calls to and from the hospital and family members to check on the progress, and then always the same report, "nothing happening," kept all of us in suspense over the Fourth. Bill and Monika will need some recovery time, I'm sure, and it's very fortunate Monika's mother is here to help - Monika will probably be able to come home sooner because she will have such expert help at home.
There was a very nice comment about our Fourth of July fireworks here at the pond - I've copied it here:

Joe's Pond Association always does a wonderful job in seeing that not only those who are members and camp owners enjoy a great Fourth of July fireworks display but all the residents of the area do as well. That was a very nice shoot and kudos to the association and the "secret" donor who kicked in that extra cash.
God Bless America!!
