Wednesday, June 22 at 7 p.m.: Talk by Bob Belenky on his recent interview research visit to the Ukraine. "Paradise Lost: Memories of Jewish Agricultural Settlements and Collective Farms in Ukraine and Crimea , 1921-1945, an interview study, April, 2011.".

Saturday, June 25 at 7 p.m.: Fundraising Concert to Kick Off the Summer with Peter Mayhew’s band, Act of Conscience. At the Old Schoolhouse Common gazebo.

Wednesday, July 6th at 6:30 p.m.: Stories from Around the World & Other Places

with local story teller Lawrence Black. At the library.

Mondays, July 11 to August 8 at 10:30 p.m.: One World Many Stories Activity Time: Activities with cross-cultural themes. Games, projects, and art from around the world. Ages 0 to 6. At the library.

Thursday, July 7.: Camomilla PanJazz Quintet: This exciting new collaboration, led by Vermont steelpan "ace" Emily Lanxner (Camomilla), and Kenneth Joseph, an exceptional pannist and band leader from Trinidad, explores uncharted realms of steelpan and soul of pan-playing. At the library.

Tuesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater is a traditional West African performing and educational ensemble bringing West African music and dance to audiences of all ages. Wednesday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m.: Origami with Gail Martin. Participants in Gail’s workshop will start with basic models and continue with more complex folds and models of their choice. For people of all ages, with activities for the little ones! At the library.

Thursday, July 14.: Cold Country Blue Grass. The band has been playing since the early 70's, and is based in Plainfield, Vermont. Bill Moulton on mandolin, the band's lead singer; Craig Whipple, guitar and baritone; Jeannette Hogan, string bass and harmonies; and Con Hogan, banjo and tenor. The group features Tony Washburn, well-known fiddle player from Morrisville, VT. At the library.

Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m.: Brazilian Martial Art and Dance Form: Capoeira with Fua Nascimento. Fua will do an interactive demonstration and workshop for people of all ages. Come and try out some moves! Capoeira is known for combining strong and fluid movements with dynamic use of space, rhythm, and a spirit of ‘trickiness’. Fabio (Fua) Nascimento, graduated from a traditional capoeira school where he studied under one of the most recognized capoeira masters. He has been performing and teaching throughout Brazil and internationally for the past twelve years. At the library.

Wednesday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m.: Raptors and Humans, with the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum . Live Birds of Prey and Animated Story Telling provide the punch to this presentation that spans over 14,000 years of human history. Come and meet a real live Owl and a Red-tailed Hawk. (Co-sponsored with the Cabot Library, it will be held at the Jaquith Library.).
