Guess Joe's Pond qualifies!


That's us, for sure. We were talking to Rose Bothfeld about the cell phone installation Unicel did on a silo at their farm on West Hill in Cabot, and she said it is working out very well but as you know, Unicel sold to AT&T and that has probably changed the prospects for more cell towers. Reports are that AT&T has no immediate plans for new towers, so it would seem we've missed an opportunity to have a cell tower on one of the Sousa farm silos on Cabot Plain. We can enjoy our Utopia for a while longer.

Some of you may be interested in this about wind turbines in Lowell, though. It could be a harbinger of things to come in alternative energy for our area:

If you read the comments after the article, you'll see that there is a wide difference of opinion on such projects, especially when they are in one's own back yard.
