I got the following from Evelyn Richer today. I asked where Ray was when he came across this big fellow, so will report back on that later. Here's Evelyn's message:

Good Morning Jane and Fred…

I just visited the blog to see how the general things are out there (in the real world) as we don’t venture too far these days… anyway… I notice your walk in the woods slide show and it brought to mind what Ray came across in a similar situation… this was taken just a week ago, and this guy has been back many times since… just thought you might like a heads up… he (or she) appears to be about 350 pounds (give or take…)

Ray got lots of shots and this one is not one of the best but it sure shows how handsome this fella is… The bear could not see Ray; he was several feet away with his long lens… The woods seem pretty much alive with spring!!

Fred was out on the water this afternoon with Bill Rossi and Pam Hebert. He got a few pictures. You can see things are looking much nicer than a month ago - nice and green. That's Pam giving Diane a hand in the flower beds, and next door, Ray Rouleau is busy getting things in shape at his house. It's quiet on the pond, but people are coming back gradually and in no time things will be buzzing again.
