This is a recent message from Evelyn Richer down on Sandy Beach Road at Joe's Pond. We posted pictures earlier of the building going on down there, and here's an update: "They moved the modular sections of Rachel Lewis' house in (old Hardy camp), but they are not placed yet. They brought them in late at night, after dark, from PA and got one of the tractor trailer trucks stuck. Then the other one showed up with the other half of the house, so we had the two house halves, two tractor trailer trucks, three cars, and two pick-ups in the culdesac, then we had to call the wrecker which was HUGE because one of the big trucks was jack-knifed!"

"The pictures weretaken the following afternoon. Mathews Construction is moving the second house half - it took him only minutes to get it off the road where it had been wedged up against our mailbox when all the traffic left the night before and guide it down the driveway onto Rachel's lot. As you can see, it was snowing, but with the right operator and equipment, everything went smoothly." (A special thankyou to Ray and Evelyn Richer for sending me these photos).
