We enjoyed another really quite nice day today.  It wasn't as warm as we've been having, but still not bad weather for November.  Our nice weather is about to end, however.  Tonight's sky gave us fair warning that a change is about to happen.  I was able to get a few pictures just before the sky changed - it was beautiful for a few minutes.  Out of curiosity, I took a picture looking east over the pond from our living room.  There was a soft glow from the sunset on the hillside above Route 15 - very pretty.

I don't have any news to report today - there may be some, but I don't know about it.  Fred picked up the mail today at West Danville.  Ice-Out tickets are coming in steadily in small numbers.  Now the tourists aren't around much, things have quieted down.  I want to remind people that Ice-Out tickets are great as stocking stuffers or for gifts to friends during the holidays - great conversation starters at parties or as favors at dinners, so if you'd like a supply, please let me know.  From time to time we have employers purchase large quantities to give to their employees at company parties, or just as a little bonus (hopefully with a much bigger one!), and we do appreciate that.  If you want to do something like that, send your check and I will use our neat little red "PAID" stamp on each one.  I just did 170 for a man in South Burlington - I have no idea what he does with them, but he has been purchasing about that many every year for a while now.  It's no trouble to stamp them - mindless work!

Don't forget that tomorrow is Veterans Day.  Do something nice for someone who has served our country or who is presently serving - or for their family.  They should know how much we appreciate the sacrifices they make for all of us.  Even a hand shake and telling them "Thank you for your service," will be appreciated.
