A quick update on the block, which is still in place.  Diane just sent this picture - about 2:30 p.m.  We had very heavy rain this morning and now (3 o'clock) the sun is breaking through.  The temperature is still around 58 degrees, but will be heading downward soon, if the forecasters are correct.  Right now it looks and feels like spring, but we know that isn't going to last.

I found an obituary for Pat Karnady who passed away on March 23.  She was 80.  Friends of Pat and George will be glad to know there will be a memorial service for her in May at Hope Cemetery in Barre.  To send condolences to George, his address is:  647 Signorelli Dr., Nokomis FL 34275.

I had a note from Marti Talbot (West Shore Rd) today.  She and David went to Cuba this year with his students.  Marti has a blog that you will enjoy: martitalbot.blogspot.com.  Marti said they have a new puppy in the family, Abner, a yellow lab that is 12 weeks old.  Marti said he is actually Amanda's dog.  He's going to love being at Joe's Pond this summer.

Don't forget - today is the last day for Ice-Out tickets!!!  Get 'em in before close of business at any of the outlets; get them in the mail so they will be postmarked April 1st; or get them on line until midnight in batches of 10.
