Jane and Fred Brown: Joe's Pond, Cabot, Danville and Walden, Northeast Kingdom, Vermont, United States; Fred and I hope we will be able to bring you closer to Vermont through our "Local News Blog." This is the "party line," sort of like our telephone system was here in rural Vermont a few years ago when 10 or more people shared one phone line. We try to keep folks informed about what's happening at Joe's Pond and in the community and keep everyone in touch with friends who are away. It has become an important line of communication for people who have moved away but still have fond memories of Joe's Pond, or those warming their toes on a beach somewhere while we romp in the snow.
